  5. You misread his birthdate. It's 03/30/18. That means he's one year old. Or perhaps 101 years old.
  6. I hope/assume that Syndergaard left Miami earlier than the rest of the team?

  9. This is two polls in a row where the sequence of covers includes Seaver, Strawberry, Gooden, Harvey.

  11. They really have a lot of guys whose name ends with an O. Six in today's lineup. Maybe one day I'll use the UMDB to see what the record is for most same-ending-letter-names in one starting lineup.
  12. I think the Nationals are stopping in Syracuse first before they go to New York.
  13. =dgwphotography post_id=6217 time=1554308483 user_id=78] Um, is Doc wearing his Rookie Spring Training #64?

  15. That Baseball Digest cover represents a nice event, but it isn't visually appealing. I like the photo of Darryl, but not the school-bus orange frame around it. And the "Straight Fire" cover is too boilerplate. So I voted for Doc.

  17. We can quickly calculate the probability of a stolen base, and for some reason that's important enough to purchase paid advertisements.

  19. 77.78% of the starting lineup has a name that ends with either an S or an O. Replace Smith with Alfonso and the percentage would be even higher!
  20. I was kind of annoyed that Darling wrote a book about how much he regrets his performance in Game Seven of the 1986 World Series, which the Mets won, and didn't express any regret about his performance in Game Seven of the 1988 NLCS, which was much more damaging to his team.
  21. That Seaver cover looks almost three-dimensional, like he's throwing the ball right out of the cover. That Murphy cover is just too busy for my taste. And I'm surprised that the Brooks Robinson cover received a vote!

  25. =batmagadanleadoff post_id=5839 time=1554136237 user_id=68] Is the Pedro cover accidentally out of order? It's from 2005, not 2015.
