  1. The winner, and still champion, is the 1967 Mets Year Book, with the cover by Willard Mullin. Maja can keep her shower curtain for another year. http://leaptoad.com/mets/covers/yearbooks/showercurtain.jpg>

  5. =seawolf17 post_id=7195 time=1555350357 user_id=91] Nope. Saw that elsewhere - it's Sam Jethroe, apparently.
  6. I think it had been a while since I've watched a game on ESPN. I mostly saw the innings when Hank Aaron was in the booth. For how long has ESPN been enhancing the sound of the ball hitting the bat or the catcher's glove? It's ridiculously cartoonish. Also, they showed a photo of a young Aaron with Jackie Robinson. They asked him if the photo had been taken in Brooklyn or Milwaukee, but Aaron had a B on his cap. Did he ever suit up as a member of the Boston Braves? https://i.pinimg.com/originals/74/5a/f9/745af94190f424c05a6c9ff24d408495.jpg> By the way... nice hat on that guy in the background!

  9. You're welcome! And I will try not to get hit by a bus! (Where I live, getting hit by a train is probably more likely anyway.) I think, though, that I'm going to stick with the 1970s, because that was my decade for baseball cards. I continued buying cards into the early 1990s, but that was out of habit, not passion. When I see cards from the 70s, I sometimes smell bubble gum. I don't get that reaction from cards from other decades.
  10. I think the Braves would have happily paid Albies twice as much as he signed for. Who is his agent? And would he consider representing Syndergaard and Conforto?
  11. I keep thinking he's J.D. Drew.

  17. I would trade Frazier to a team that wants an out-of-position backup shortstop.
