I guess we'll be seeing Gary Sanchez sooner than expected. (Or will they go with Michael Perez?) And more of Francisco Alvarez, I hope.

Here's what I would do. (In theory, anyway. If I really had decision-making powers I'd give this more thought than I'm actually doing.) Let Mauricio play second base, moving McNeil to left field, replacing Canha. Let Vientos be the right-handed DH. Whose roster spot would he take? Pham? Escobar? A pitcher? I don't know. But I'd like to see both Mauricio and Vientos join Baty and Alvarez on the team. It will either give the 2023 team a boost that might help them make the postseason, or if the Mets miss this year, it will give them the experience that will be useful for 2024's effort.

If you've never been to London, and have the means to go, do it! You'll have a great time.

And there's also Phil Spector, but apparently he never hosted SNL. (I looked it up!)

Michael Perez and Nick Meyer are sharing the catching duties at Syracuse, and both are currently on the Interstate. Meyer: .150/.277/.175 in 13 games. Perez: .167/.281/.278 in 18 games.

That cover illustration really nailed Harvey's delivery, but that ball looks like it might have been doctored.

Robert Blake? Robert Wagner?

I'm going to ask my doctor if Senzatela is right for me. Side effects, although rare, can include belching, rashes, enlargement of ears, green urine, and spontaneous combustion.

Lifetime record of 50-66, with a 4.42 ERA. 180 games, 172 starts. 274 walks and 867 strikeouts over 966⅓ innings. He pitched for five different teams. The only team for which he appeared in more than one season was the Mets. He had brief stops in Cincinnati, Anaheim, Kansas City, and Baltimore. This isn't the career we thought he'd have. But that happens a lot, doesn't it?

I thought he was referring to Springsteen.

I wonder what he'll have to say for himself.

I've had to watch with the sound off, because I was in a meeting. Did Lucchesi come out because he was ineffective, or hurt? He only threw 46 pitches.
