a few people seem adamantly against playoffs because of a slightly different format for determining the winner. No one's vehemently come out in favor of playoffs

so that sounds rather like the basis for making a decision, doesn't it?

I'm still wavering between that and the "fuck it all, you're wrong and it's not a big deal. it's my league. deal with it." side. But I'll decide by the end of the day.

And that attitude will see you lose owners. Enjoy your league all to yourself.

So what's gonna be the deal here regarding playoffs?

Also, can someone please point me to the categories for scoring? I don't see them in the league settings.

Lastly, ceets, I think you need to invite me, or assign that team to me. Something.

Please and thank you.

It looks like playoffs will be considered for 2019, but not this season.

Batter categories: R, HR, OBP, SLG
Pitcher categories: ERA, WHIP, HR/9, K

Just curious, did I miss the decision on playoffs? looks like ceeter was still considering, last message I saw.

no playoffs. we'll debate in a month or so for 2019.

I swapped you in as the owner of the team. have at it.

yay, no playoffs! (more specifically, yay no format change for playoffs! i'm not necessarily opposed to playoffs in general.)

i spoke with the new owner of the deathship. he expects to have his cutlist done by sunday. hope that's enough time. sorry for helping to keep him very very busy at work.

welcome backabordick seo!

Sunday's fine. I probably should've set a hard date. I personally don't care because I do zero draft prep.

Thanks, gents. Just to be clear, I have no pending actions (cut lists or otherwise) prior to the draft?

The new Easton Assassins ownership has reached out to the owners of the park in Guadalajara, Mexico (where the Cornballers used to call home) to check on the park's availability for the upcoming season. Usage of the Cornballerâ„¢ machine in the concession area during our inaugural season sadly resulted in numerous injuries to staff and patrons alike, so the Guadalajara tenants have refused all attempts to renew our partnership, citing "current and pending litigation," whatever that implies.

As such, we have contacted a number of municipalities in the US, Canada and Mexico and have found one eager taker: the city of Pawnee, Indiana. There is a small park on the border of Pawnee and the neighboring town of Eagleton that Mayor Knope has invited our club to use for free, on one condition. We must pay tribute to the storied history of Pawnee and their native ancestors by adorning our uniforms with the name and colors of their legacy mascot, the Pawnee Drunken Savages. We have happily accepted!

We'll see you on the field soon, Pawneeans!

Who the hell started the draft with Kershaw? I hadn't even made a wish list yet.

Lunchladies once again spent every dollar they were allotted

I can't say if it was my replacement dude or not. I had long-standing tickets to the Back to the Future Fan Fest, so naturally could not participate in this one dork thing because of the other dork thing.

I'm regretting not going higher on Ohtani.

Lousy cheapass owners

this is what i get for questioning the commitment of other owners - my offense is basically carlos baerga in a mets jersey, and thanks to some terribly poor outings of late, my pitching isn't even holding up its own end - basically steve trachsel with a much, much better strikeout rate.

its early sure, but yeesh this is looking ugly.

I don;t think the Lunchladies are going anywhere either. I had 10 guys on the disabled list at one point already.

Sometimes I think there's separation at the top (today!) but, like, 2 days ago, someone else was in first by 6 points. How long til it becomes more of a boat race and then daily points changes aren't so volatile?
