G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Jacob by day, put it away. Robert Stephenson provides the opposition in conjunction with his Reds teammates.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 This game is happening guys. Mets down 3-2, but we have a Taijeron hit in captivity.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2017 Author Posted August 31, 2017 This game would be better if it was better.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 So far done in by Robert Stephenson and that Scooter Gennett guy.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Good thing we're facing the ML's worst pitching staff in a hitter's park, eh?4, 2, and 2 runs so far over 25 total innings.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 This entire series was a dud outside of Montero's outing.Bad hitting, bad base-running, not great fielding, yadda yadda
Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 This wasn't a great team when at least some subset of Bruce, Cespedes, Conforto, Duda, and Granderson were on the active roster. With all five of them gone for the season, it's going to be a long slog through September. I'm thinking of it as early spring training for 2018.

Good thing I love the game itself or this month coming up would be unbearable.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2017 Posted September 1, 2017 Not even a replay broadcast on SNY tonight. Lame.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted September 1, 2017 Posted September 1, 2017 One thing I'm realizing is we simply have to adjust our expectations with these SHaMmiest of SHaMs. I mean, they suck. Unable to win a series, prone to slumps and dumb plays etc etc etc. I mean the Reds fucked us up the butt in this series.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2017 Posted September 1, 2017 Not even a replay broadcast on SNY tonight. Lame.Believe me when I say you're not missing much. Uninspired baseball. deGrom was not on his game Except maybe this:https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/watch-joey-votto-homers-gives-bat-and-jersey-to-6-year-old-fan-battling-cancer/But fuck Votto AND Ichiro!

G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2017 Author Posted September 1, 2017 This was the first series all year in which the Mets played consecutive games in less than 2:45, perhaps reflecting an accelerated desire by both teams to get the season over with.
