Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2017 Posted June 26, 2017 The Mets have the day off today while Terry figures out ways to bring all this winning to an end.Don't let Robert Gsellman's mediocre 5-5 record fool you - he's been making sure to give up plenty of runs every outing, and I don't think he's lasted into the 7th all season. So he's been doing what he can to help the Mets lose, even if it doesn't always show up in the stats. He goes up against Dan Straily tomorrow night. Back to the east coast - standard 7:10 start time, standard SNY broadcast.

Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2017 Posted June 26, 2017 Marlins suck. I know they have a better record than the Mets, but they still suck.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2017 Posted June 26, 2017 The Mets won't face Hechavarria--he's going across the state to the Rays:Rotoworld: "Rays acquired SS Adeiny Hechavarria from the Marlins for OF Braxton Lee and RHP Ethan Clark."
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 26, 2017 Posted June 26, 2017 Wow, I guess that means they're believing in J.T. Riddle. I know the guy has had some prospect juice, but he hasn't shown much of anything batwise in the bigs. Or in the minors, frankly. That better be one magic glove he's wearing or he might improve the Mets chances to win.Not that Hechy was much with the stick, but he seemed to do alright against the Mets.

He's gone .218 / .263 / .286 // .549 in 237 plate appearances.Bring back Adeiny!
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2017 Posted June 27, 2017 Off days suck, though, on the flip side, I went to bed early, with no game on, and got a butt-ton of sleep last night.
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2017 Posted June 27, 2017 Did Ichiro vote for Trump or something? I think he's great.

Guest themetfairy Guests Posted June 27, 2017 Posted June 27, 2017 It's a reaction to my mother-in-law's bandwagoning Ichiro fandom in the early 2000s. Enough to turn anyone off to his self-centeredness, personal souvenir stand in the Safeco outfield, etc.Fuck you Ichiro!
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2017 Posted June 27, 2017 My mother-in-law was a fan of Esther Williams!Fuck you, Esther Williams!

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 27, 2017 Posted June 27, 2017 Bour was probably too hot to pitch to in that situation, and that wasn't a great 3-2 pitch, but I applaud him for going after the guy.And look, Prado raked one too.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2017 Posted June 27, 2017 We have zero starting pitching aside from deGrom to make a run up the standings.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 27, 2017 Posted June 27, 2017 That's not really true. Come on. Perspective.
