Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 No lineups yet for what promises to be ... well, it promises to be whatever ESPN Sunday night games are, which is ... something ... like baseball. No lineups are post yet, but gametime temps are expected to be around 70 degrees. Make that 58 by the time the national anthem is done, and 35 fby the fifth inning. Cowls will be mandatory.Edinson Volquez goes for Miami, who apparently acquired Edinson Volquez this offseason. He threw five shutout innings on opening day against Washington. Mets matched up against him twice in the 2015 World Series, getting to him for three runs (including a Granderson homer) in five innings in Game One, and two runs (including a Granderson homer) in six innings in Game Five. They lost both games, but I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that Curtis Granderson will be in tonight's lineup.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 9, 2017 Author Posted April 9, 2017 Davey Johnson would be scandalized by Terry not banking on Grandy's past success against Volquez.

So it's mitigated success.Also... With school on spring break and freebie tickets in hand, Team LWFS-- a quorum of us, anyway-- will be there for Thorsnight.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 9, 2017 Author Posted April 9, 2017 Go get 'em, and cheer Conforto on the hardest.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 Crap. I forgot this means no GKR tonight! ESPN bastages.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 no NBC sports app either, so I can't watch the game while showering and getting ready for bed.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 I tried to shut off the ESPN baseball talk show and listen to Howie and Josh via mlb radio but that's ahead of the TV.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 Great 1st inning. Now let's see the offense do some shit
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 Howie (from MLBtv radio) and the ESPN TV broadcast are not matching up. Close, but no banana. Rose is about 3 pitches ahead. That could correct itself later. But for now, I'm stuck with ESPN, which I guess is better than nothing.Nice 1st for Noah. 2 Ks and a ground out.0-0 Mets.
Guest 41Forever Guests Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 I like how the ESPN graphic for the Marlins includes the home run sculpture.I had no idea that Volquez has had like three different names.Who is the idiot in the booth with the man bun?
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 José needs to get ON the Interstate before he can get OFF the Interstate.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 I love Asdrubal. Perfect bunt. He had to go get that pitch with his bat, harder than it looks while bunting.Shift this!
Guest 41Forever Guests Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 Walked in a run! He fears Conforto!
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 These broadcasters suck some aass.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 I don't usually complain about broadcasters, but these guys really are bad. I wonder if all those fans who hated the R. A. Dickey trade have reconsidered?

bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 "Win Probability" in the 2nd inning? ARGH!!!
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 Dallas Braden is a real turd up in the booth.

Douche. The names may change, but the suck remains.
Guest cooby Guests Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 This must be the decade that it's fashionable to make yourself look as ugly as possible.
Guest 41Forever Guests Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 They're talking no-hitter after two innings....They suck.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 10, 2017 Author Posted April 10, 2017 Is Céspedes body-blocking the ball again?
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 This hurts the win probability.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 And just like that, 3-2. Then, nice gun by Rivera.
