Edgy MD Site Manager Posted February 24, 2017 Posted February 24, 2017 Gavin's brother and former Red Sock Garin signed with Kansas City this offseason, and is therefore springing in Surprise(!), AZ.

A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted February 24, 2017 Posted February 24, 2017 I'd almost forgotten how competent a hitter Plawecki was in the minors. I'm hoping for 3 hits today that get him started on a ferocious tear that continues through the season and makes decisions difficult for everyone all year. Springtime is for optimism.
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted February 24, 2017 Posted February 24, 2017 With an opposite field hit against a lefty, Conforto excites everyone in the way that only the first day of spring can prompt such excitement.Mets go up 1-nil after a Lagares walk, the amazing Conforto single, and a Wilmer fielder's choice. Travis also got a base knock. I guess start printing WS tickets.
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted February 24, 2017 Posted February 24, 2017 Checchini homers, taking the early lead for STMVP. 2-nil Metropolitans.
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted February 24, 2017 Posted February 24, 2017 Conforto homers. Uh oh.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted February 24, 2017 Posted February 24, 2017 Unreasonable expectations taking over my body. Taking over my soul. d'Arnaud now 2-2 also.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted February 24, 2017 Posted February 24, 2017 A no-hitter intact and no hitters are in traction.Good day so far.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted February 24, 2017 Posted February 24, 2017 Two perfect innings from the nearly forgotten Marcos Molina. Didn't see that coming.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted February 24, 2017 Posted February 24, 2017 This game is so great that it's turning around the career of Rafael Montero.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted February 24, 2017 Posted February 24, 2017 Mets fail to score after loading the bases with no outs, Boston gets two runs back the next inning, and I want to die.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted February 24, 2017 Posted February 24, 2017 Hansel nailing down let's all you would be Robles-traders know what's what.Centerfield holds the board.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 Looking at the box score, I see our offense with 16 Ks and 0-fer-7 w/RiSPMid-season form already I see.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 Also hit two homers, but both of the them solo, with a .111 OBP out of the top two spots in the order of batting. But the pitching was a revelation. They went with three starters who are approximately sixth, tenth, and 21st on the depth chart and the scoringest team in the American League couldn't touch 'em.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2017 Posted February 26, 2017 Any word on how badly Plawecki was injured?Later
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted February 26, 2017 Posted February 26, 2017 Supposedly OK. Just a contusion. X-rays are negative.
