From yesterday:
1. 1964-66: Drafted from the Phillies, he pitched his way back and forth from AAA for three years, and went 5-for-21 at the plate. His brother had a much more successful career.

1. 1995: Acquired for David Segui, got two hits in 20 AB, then was traded for Mark Clark.
2. 1998: Nowhere near as well-loved as his stepfather, despite his six hits in 20 AB. PRESTON WILSON
3. 2001: Got two hits in 20 AB as a swingman before getting traded in spring 2002 to Montreal.
4. 2002: Acquired from the Reds, went 5-12, then made a mark in Milwaukee before finishing his career going 2-for-8 with the Mets in 2008.
5. 2011: One hit and 11 strikeouts in 20 AB at age 27; has never played first.
6. 2012: 3-for-20 as a September callup and backup outfielder.
7. 2016: 7-20 with two home runs, somehow.

1. 1985: Was completely worthless at the plate over 9,000 times since 1970; confirmed that by going 2-for-19 as a Met.
2. 1993: 5-for-19, all but one AB as a pinch-hitter.
3. 1998: Was a productive major leaguer at five positions from 1993-1997. Went 5-19 as a Met. Was a productive major leaguer at five positions from 1999-2002.
4. 2001-02: 3-19 with 9 K's. Still pitching as recently as 2015.

Good answers. FANTASTIC answers. Not all correct, however.

OLD:
1. 1964-66: Drafted from the Phillies, he pitched his way back and forth from AAA for three years, and went 5-for-21 at the plate. His brother had a much more successful career. Tall, skinny righthander who got a 1966 Topps card as a Met, and a 1968 Topps card with Cleveland.

NEW:
1. 1985: Was completely worthless at the plate over 9,000 times since 1970; confirmed that by going 2-for-19 as a Met. LARRY BOWA
2. 1993: 5-for-19, all but one AB as a pinch-hitter. Probably best known as a Cub; couldn't find any good trivia about him at all.
3. 1998: Was a productive major leaguer at five positions from 1993-1997. Went 5-19 as a Met. Was a productive major leaguer at five positions from 1999-2002. CRAIG PAQUETTE
4. 2001-02: 3-19 with 9 K's. Still pitching as recently as 2015. BRUCE CHEN

We start anew Thursday morning with six players who got a combined 15 hits as Mets!

Posted

1. 1967: Finished his career 2-18 with the Mets. Famously lost a one-hitter to the Dodgers while with the Cubs.
2. 1984-85: Appeared in just 148 major league games and went only 3-18 as a Met, but might have a compelling Hall of Fame case some day.
3. 1997-2001: Only 1 for 18 at the plate in 285 games.
4. 2002: Deadline deal acquisition who got 5 hits in 18 AB in 9 starts as a Met.
5. 2013-14: 3 for 18 as a September callup/backup infielder.
6. 2014-16: 0 for 18 at the plate, but will hopefully get more shots at his first MLB hit this year despite taking a step backward last year.
