Barwis is as good a guess as any. I know I wasn't thinking, "Let's resign Céspedes and then lock him in a gym until he's as big as a bear!"

Why would anyone train with him on purpose? Kinda like my jr high gym teacher on steroids.

That guy with the beard doing jerks will have no elbows soon

Yes I think the difficult but sad reality is that Brucie and Grandy will have to fight for 1 position between them most nights.

Not anymore.

So who is your callup, dudes?

Nimmo, because otherwise you're starting the clock on the others.

I'd cut Granderson and Reyes and call up Taijeron and Rosario. But it's not my money.

I wish they would send us Zimmo and Cecchini right this second.

I am prepared to wait a few beats for Rosario.

When Doodoo returns we won't even miss Ces.

Oh and what the hell, let's get LJ Mazzilli up here

Nimmo is probably two or three days away but I wouldn't be shocked if he was on a plane to DCA right now.

Washington, sheesh.

Just showed these videos to my hubby, who used to lift weights for football.

He's appalled that this guy is anywhere near a professional athlete (let alone OURS!) Strongman training has no place in baseball.

Wait, so Cespedes gets a leg injury.

Instead of putting him on the DL (now only 10 days) they play shorthanded against their main division rival. Then bring him back too early, so that he aggravates it, then ends up on the DL for much longer.

Where have I heard that one before?

It's like he learned nothing from Harvey's pride-goeth-before-a-fall episodes.

You want to tell me that you have no faith in Mike Barwis to train you in the gym, that's fine. If you put no credence in a diagnosis from a doctor staring at a screen in his white coat at the hospital for special surgery, that's silly.

Duda is back on Monday. I guess that Reynolds departs. I wouldn't mind Nimmo coming up and Granderson taking a break.

Well, if the USS Syndergaard is able to fly, there's little reason for Gilmartin. I think there's little call for 13 pitchers or three catchers as it is.

Wilmer and Nimmo went 5-9 total with two homers (one each) and a double for St. Lucie yesterday. Wilmer played first and Nimmo DH'd.

Duda felt a "twinge" in his elbow in his first rehab game Friday. He will be reevaluated.

I hope T.J. Rivera gets to stay.

Well, he's certainly ahead of Reynolds and Plawecki, so if the team gets Flores back, Rivera should be as safe as houses.
