Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Homer by Wilson Ramos is what you missed. And you may have missed some really nicely spotted sliderinos from Blake Treinin.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Nice try, Brucie. Need a little more on that.T.J., all hearts turn to you.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2016 Author Posted September 14, 2016 (edited) Aww PooOn the flip side, the Giants lost just seconds after we did so the NL WC race remains exactly how it began the day. Edited September 14, 2016 by Guest
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Another blown opportunity... day off tomorrow.
Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Well, it was quick, anyway.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Disappointing. But everyone lost.
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Jesus H. Christ. I was logged onto this forum most of the day, posting and all and I didn't even know there was a game going on. I thought this IGT thread was yesterday's game thread.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 These games are gonna bite us in the ass, just like the innings whenthey leave bases loaded or risp with no or few outs have all year.Feeling quite deflated.

First NYM game under 2:45 in three and a half weeks and just the 3rd 2:30 or under since the ASB.And to think, even in not so hazy memory (mid to late '80s) 2:45 was right about average. Go back just a bit further to the late '70s and 2:30 was average. Now that time qualifies as almost freakishly short and needs a 1-0, 8-1/2 inning game with a total of just 9 hits and helped by 4 runner-erasing DPs to make it happen.* ML average for 1985 = 2:44. For 1978 = 2:30
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Wish we could get a do-over on that terrible first inning... Jay Bruce is garbage. Let him win the poker game on the plane ride or some shit, dude needs cahn-fidence.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 No hitting and no reliever better than Fernando Salas. On to the next game.

Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 What's worse is, ignoring the game all day with the notion of watching a 7:30-ish replay on SNY, only to find out that no replay was scheduled. Though I think waiting an extra 3+ hours to watch a 1-0 shutout would have just pissed me off anyway.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 giants and Cardinals both lost so the Mets retain ther half-game lead in the NL second WCDiComo on Twitter
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Further evidence this place is dead to some...

They're readily available all over the interwebs and printable versions can be had for easy reference even if they're no longer included in the early April issue of the New York Daily News Sunday Magazine section.
