Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 I'm hoping this means 10 more innings before they ultimately lose.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Washington goes to Matt Grace, pitcher #9 (turn me on, dead man), and Ender Inciarte leads off with a single.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 And with two out and a runner on first, and Matt Kemp coming up, Washington looks to pitcher #10, Mat Latos.

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 Okay, now it's 5-3. Phillies lead Washington 4-0 after 6.
dinosaur jesus Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 Harvey's Wallbangers are piling it on. A two-run homer by Gorman Thomas and a two-run double by Jim Gantner make it 8-3 Brewers in the 6th.Phils still up 4-0, but the Nats are threatening in the 8th.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 Grand slam by Rob Deer puts the Brew Crew up 12-3 in the 6th. The Wild Card awaits us.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2016 Author Posted September 9, 2016 WC opponent skeds for this weekend:- Saint Louie continues their four-gamer with Milwaukee under the big arch.Nice butt-kicking by the Brews to start things off but you get the feeling they probably shot their load and would have been better saving a couple of those runs.- Giants head to the desert for the first of three games. They're 10-6 vs the Snakes this year but 13-21 overall since Aug 1 and probably wishes Phoenix was still their old AAA affiliate- Pirates (now 4 full games behind us) hosting Reds for the 2nd of their four-game seriesPitt won the opener Thursday- Marlins host the Dodgers just in time for the return from the DL of Clayton Kershaw ... mmmm, lucky themAnd, just for kicks, Washington takes their 8 game division lead against the Phils after being held to just five hits in a loss on Thursday but at five games out after losing 10 of 12, they're basically on the fringes of things anyway at this point
