There's a 4 o'clockerthis afternoon and an ESPN game tomorrow night. That's if they'll still have us. Two moremeans there's still a possibility of a split, not that they've given much indication that they could beat their ways out of a wet paper bag.RH Bartolo Colon (10-7, 3.38 ERA) vs. LH Matt Moore (7-9, 4.14)
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 Is it strange that on a Saturday there is at least one or two 1pm ET games? Our gamefrom California is the first game today in all of baseball.

Of course they will. They will enjoy yakking about how horrendous we have been lately. That's an hour of chit chat right there.

Our gamefrom California is the first game today in all of baseball.Saturday daytime baseball is essentially dead, local TV money makes it more profitable at night. And while it's also understandable in August, particularly in say Atlanta, or those hot midwestern towns, or even NYC, April & September games are no different. The Mets didn't have a 1 o'clock EDT game all year and this is their final 4:00 of the year. The final six Saturdays are all Eastern time zone (four home plus Atlanta & Philly) and they're all 7:00The one team that sticks to their 1:00 Saturday time slot (unless national TV compels them to do otherwise) is the Yanx.

Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 Drunk guys playing softball on a Sunday afternoon have more base-path sensethan some of the Mets have been having lately.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 DOUBLE - SINGLE - DOUBLE - WALK [u:zs7pyiqo]in consecutive ABs[/u:zs7pyiqo] somehow equals just one run.I keep turning the pages of this book but it's the same script on every page.
Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 I believe Reyes now has the team lead in stolen bases.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 No baserunners were harmed in the making of this top of the 3rd inning ... at least not so far.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 If we blow this game I'm taking a vacation. Not sure where, but it'll be a place where I can't possibly watch Mets games.
Guest cooby Guests Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 Central PA is a suggestion, LOL! I only see about three or four a year, on other teams' stations
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 When Bartolo wins, Little Sexy celebrates!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 I only tuned in for about one inning.Guess which one.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 Had an early dinner with the fam tonight, and they turned on the game in the bar. My daughter asked if they were at Citi Field, and I said, "No, they're in San Francisco. And the stadium there is really nice, because the water is right over the fence, and if you hit a home run out to right field, it could land in the water."Which Denard Span did, literally five seconds after I said that. That was eerie.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 My favorite parts were the audible gasps from the crowd during the Cespedes home runs.

Now, please save that kind of stuff for when the Mets are at bat.Later
