Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 Bartolo gets a nice easy 1-2-3 first.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 Loney got called out on strikes on a pitch a foot out of the strike zone. Umps suck. I'm sick of them. The idiot who couldn't find the strike zone in game one if you spotted him "strike" and "zon" gets game 2 off because it's a doubleheader... poor baby worked so hard! So MLB has to fly a minor league umpire in for game 2. Pathetic. Fire them all.
Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2016 Author Posted July 26, 2016 And Cabrera's off the schneid!!!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 It's almost like something that needs to be investigated. But I'll take it. It'll help lift the cloud.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 Was Keef not in the booth for the first game but here for the second?

Veteran ump Mike Winters (the one who was suspended for provoking Milton Bradley) has the plate in game 2.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 Bastardo useful? De Aza performing? Bart getting a bunt down? Cabrera driving in a runner in scoring position? How can these be anything other than good omens?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 LAGARES WAS SO SAFE!!Can nobody make that call anymore?!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 Sheesh, I saw that with my nekkid eye.

Keef lives well!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 Asdrubal Cabrera, run-producing machine.Alejandro De Aza, run-scoring juggernaut.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 Smoker wearing 49. Such a lefties' number.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 So close. Why Flores didn't tag, I dunno.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 Two outs and six innings in. Send Colon up to hit. Someone get the defrib for TC.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 I mean, what are you buying? One inning? Is Bart that many potential runs better than Hansel Robles over one inning compared to the potential runs you give up with that at-bat?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 Although he did his part there on the mound.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 On the other hand, Barty did really just mow them down in the 7th, so, I don't know. Reserve judgement for how the next 2 innings go.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 Poor David. In the park to watch his team stolen base lead get taken from him.

Thanks for the "solid rant" comment.I'll third this. I had a conversation with bro #1 today and it was almost a mirror of what Keith said. That we had replay back in the day, to look at after the play, and almost always the umps had it right. Why now do they almost always get it wrong? Bro1 thinks its a conspiracy. Which is odd because I'm the conspiracy guy in this family.I am sick of it as well. And it's not just that they suck. I won't scream conspiracy but it does look like they are trying awfully hard to really suck.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 And tha' t'was the last inning for Bartolo.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 I don't know if Reed's a student of Bartolo or what. I can't see what he's got working for him ... but it works for him.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 Just another ridiculously solid and efficient inning from Reed.
