Same here, I was with my daughter at a soccer tournament in Massachusetts and not able to watch much of the Dodger series at all. Kept up with scores and controversies though.

Nice to see Harvey get a good one under his belt, I'm guessing that will do something for his kahn-fidence. Got to put a couple of starts like that together before we declare him 'back' but it's a great first step.

Yeah, Familia went from 0-2 to 3-2 on the first batter, then Rivera took 15 seconds to tell him to quit being a shitty baseball player, and he righted it and mowed them down from there.

Some of the body language from Rivera when Harvey was in there was almost comical to watch. He was fist-pumping, hand-waving, and just generally pumping and exhorting the Harvelous one while trying to will him to his first good outing of the year.
You can't figure Rivera is long for this roster if/when both d'Arnaud & Plawecki are actually ever healthy at the same time. But having a top-notch defensive catcher and pitcher-handler is a cool and comforting luxury, a position that's probably been the biggest casualty of the numbers game in this era of expanded bullpens.

It's a years-old tweet that got picked up and re-circulated without thought, a fact which becomes obvious when you realize that Cabrera is no longer even on the Giants but, in fact, currently plays for the White Sox and was on the field against the Mets this very afternoon.

It was true... four years ago.

He, of course, hasn't even been a "Giants outfielder" since then. He's spent two years with the Jays since then and is in his second year with the White Sox.

I think Zvon submitted that post four years ago and the software just let it through today.

I went back to get the actual tweet and seems it was pulled. I hardly read it while transferring it here. I was too busy reading all the Mets stuff (I really don't give a shit about non-Mets stuff during the game & I gloss over it). Saw Cabrera's name in the tweet but thought it was another. I'm just popping back and forth trying to share stuff from there and saw "BREAKING NEWS". Even the post under it said "old news" but I was a poppin' and a postin' and figured I'd share it. Sorry, I won't do that anymore.
