The MFYs have minimized their relationship with StubHub and are not allowing their ticket holders to print tickets at home. They say it's to "combat fraud":

Let Lonn Trost explain further:

Why doesn't he ask Trump to build a wall around the high priced seats to keep the rest of us out?

I don't know that this makes it better to be a Mets fan. Maybe for now. I'm worried that the Mets'll follow suit.

This is mainly about getting rid of competitors so that the team can sell their available stock at a higher price, right?

Take a look next time you see a game there (on TV of course) there's already a virtual moat at YSIII (minus only the water and alligators) which serves as a separation between the super-expensive sections from the rest of the unwashed masses, so they don't even need Trump or his Mexican-built wall.

Sure. Nothing pisses off a sports team more than jacked-up prices on the secondary market ... that they don't get a piece of!!

Yes, basically. They started this last year, or the year before I think. They've been going back and forth but it stemmed from Stub Hub's lower minimum sale price as compared to Ticketmaster.

This will mainly hurt the non-smartphone friendly older crowd that still knows enough to buy a ticket on StubHub and print it. Otherwise it's mostly just an added inconvenience to get a ticket to the game. (You know, besides it being the Bronx, the Yankees, no parking, a long subway ride and a miserable fanbase and a mall of a stadium)

Do they see this before or after the no gambling sign? Or did this one replace it?
The best sign to motivate their players would be the anti-Major League approach.
They start with a naked picture of Suzyn Waldmann and put a small piece of clothing on it with every victory.

This makes me think of, "It looks like I have Oscar Gamble in a leg lock, in fact."

I actually read that the move is not to combat jacked-up prices but rather to protect the face value of tickets - StubHub lets you list tickets cheaply while Yankee-Partner Ticketmaster wont let you go below face value, thus protecting the Yankees' own unsold tickets from being undercut on the market.

It's not me. It's Suzyn. She's incorrigible.
