Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 I voted Yes-Pedes. That's the year right there.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 As historians look back on the winner many years from now, they will remember that the Cespedes acquisition was the story of this year. Conforto will have that honor for many years to come.Later
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted January 26, 2016 Author Posted January 26, 2016 Also be aware that "story of the year", while a valid criteria, isn't the only criteria to use. The only instruction is to vote for the cover you like best, for whatever reason.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 The minor headlines play a factor in this for me. I'm all in on YES-PEDES.

I also liked the expressions on the players and the guy wearing the bag out of embarrassment. Later
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 I love both covers, but went with "YES-PEDES".Love the expressions. Dead Nats. Green arm sleeve. Conforto's coming out party was great, but when the Mets swept the Nats I was dancing. Plus the MFY's are tumbling in the top banner.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted January 26, 2016 Author Posted January 26, 2016 Oooh... tied 8 to 8.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 YES-PEDES trying to pull away... it's a CONspiracy I tell you!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 It's no fair. If he signed with the Orioles, Conforto would be kicking his ass. He's getting a retroactive boost!
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted January 28, 2016 Author Posted January 28, 2016 I have to think this was part of his plan. It's like in politics, when there's an "October surprise."
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 When does the voting close?Later
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted January 30, 2016 Author Posted January 30, 2016 Poll runs till Tue Feb 02, 2016 6:33 am

Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 I was gonna guess Central European Time Zone, which is thetime zone of Stockholm. Hey, they sign the checks.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 The layouts kinda BOTH suck on these. The Conforto one sucks less.
Guest cooby classic Guests Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 I would not have expected these two to be the finalists, btw
