Has his own Youtube channel where he performs songs in his childhood bedroom:

Plays right, left, and center, too. Suck on some of that, Ben Zobrist. You hear what that song is saying? It's saying that we don't NEED you.

Ty Kelly talks eating, dating, music, minor league life styling, and plays a game of Two Nicklebacks and a Creed.

Heckuva deadpanner.

Statistically, looks a little like Justin Turner with more walks and a smidgen less pop.

Musically, looks like the guy from Nickelback (funnily enough), minus electricity and terrible hooks.

That and "Jesus, ball caps do nasty things to white-dude hairlines."

I think they're pretty funny for guys dealing with the realism that even if they make the bigs, they've spent a long enough time in the minors to look at as a definitive existence in and of itself.

The interviewer is Matt Paré of the Giants system. He's done a lot of YouTubing, and isn't above lobbying for more just wages and working conditions for minor leaguers.

And he started his own dating site.

Kelly does seem exceedingly likable, and not just in a SuperJoeish capacity.

Those vids are funny, but typically are 11% too long.

I'm on Team Ty.

He's been playing both infield and outfield in Spring Training, and doing fairly well (as much as you can tell from box scores). That versatility might just get him a spot on the major league team at some point of the season. He seems like a good kid. I'll be rooting for him to make it.
