Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 In case anyone blinked... Zack pasted for six runs?
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 9-sniffle... Edgin give up back to back triples to lefties.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 If only Syndergaard hadn't eaten that damn sandwich.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 4 more walks plus 2 HBPs by NYM pitching in just 3 innings today.Too early to panic but this, combined with the TEN BBs from a couple days ago, is a lot of gift baserunners so far this spring.
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 Oof. Hope Wheeler was working on a pitch or something.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 Just fired up the game in the 6th. Thanks for saving me a trip to CBSsportsline to see WTF happened here. Zack didn't sound too upset during his interview(saw half). I'll watch Zacks innings later today. And what Lefty said:hope he was working on something and not just stinkin' up the place.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 I'm not watching this but Some Guy On The Internet said Niese's wildness aided by a very tight strike zone and two grazed batsmen. I'm only panicing if he does this three times this spring, and if so, have CAHNfidence they can find a guy to get some outs if he can't.More worried, maybe, about the bullpen -- not results per se though they haven't been good -- but because if they really are stinky there appear to be few realistic alternatives, especially when it comes to LHPs.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 Working from home today and watching the game, how sweet it is.It'd be great if the guy, when he finally catches the piggy bank head guy, drops him to the lawn and has intercourse with him. Not that I have seen this commercial too many times.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 Ahhhh, to be tortured by bad Mets baseball again. Oh how I've missed it.13-2 final. And I can look forward to further torture after dinner as I review Wheelers innings. But what do I care? BASEBALLS BACK BABY!

Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 We've all bedded down with a pig at some point in our lives. Let's be honest.

Vic Sage Old-Timey Member Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 I've seen us succeed in ST and fail in the regular season (and vice versa) too often to put much stock in these games, one way or the other. The goal is to get to Opening Day with the veterans healthy and with the youngsters having had enough reps to evaluate their skills.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 Wheeler didn't look as bad as the numbers say. He was squeezed, a bad call @first hurt him, and two guys stuck their elbows out for BS-HBP's. The 2 walks, that's concerning, but it's early as far as that goes. His mechs looked fine.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 [but] I was happy with the outing overall, Wheeler said. I did hit two batters and walk a couple, but its still early and fastball command was a little off. Offspeed was there, it was sharp and I was throwing strikes, so that part I was happy with.
