I can't believe this is not front-page news. For guys around my age this is the greatest thing ever. The only thing I can imagine being better is a Mets-themed Millenium Falcon.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 The idea that Johnny roots LA and 1980s New Jersey LaRussa is Mets all the way is life imitating art imitating life imitating art.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Has Chris Christie attended any of the Mets playoff games? I don't recall seeing him in the crowd. I remember his appearance in the Dallas Cowboys' owners box caused a stir a year or two ago.

Guest Mets Guy in Michigan Guests Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 I spent some time yesterday with the new University of Michigan president, who is a very nice guy. He's from Brooklyn, so naturally I had to ask the question: Mets or the other team. Turns out he's a big Mets fan. Hail to the Victors.I didn't have time to ask if he's yet met the Wilpons, who I know have deep U of M connections.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 I imagine if he wasn't a Met fan, he'd've become one by now. Fred Wilpon has been a heckuva supporter, and a president has to march with his benefactors.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 I'm sure the University of Michigan has a lot of benefactors who are Tigers fans. There would probably be more pressure to march along with them.

I assume I saw this AT the park, but much of the last two weeks is a fatigue induced blur so i'm not positive. Anyone remembeR?
