Yup, he supposedly posted a pic on his Instagram.

Good thing for Matt that his current employer didn't have any engagements tonight. Oh...

In fairness to Harvey, he hasn't been making road trips all year (hell, he had to fight them just to attend HOME games) which essentially makes him a baseball fan in NYC with his night free.

The G's on everything Gatorade at the stadium have been
replace by 2's. If that's not classy, I don't know what is.

They'll find nothing. His poos are intangible. However, he makes everyone around him more regular.

I heartily second Edgy's big WTF.
Harvey should have to carry the rookies' bags in spring training next year.

Anyone know who is singing God Bless The Captain tonight?

Adam Jones (1-out, 2R 9th inning HR) & Steven Pearce (2-out, solo 9th inning game-tying HR) obviously didn't get a copy of the script.

... or maybe they did because tying up the game means who-know-who gets another AB

Derek Jeter doesn't poo. He eliminates food he deems unworthy of being absorbed into his system.

Tomorrow morning, Yankees fans wake up and realize that the team's not going to the postseason.

I see Verducci penned a "Tribute to the Captain" on SI.com. Part of me wants to read it because I know if will no doubt include "soft rain" types of phrases that will live on in infamy. But I really can't stomach it right now.

I think most of them realized that about 45 mornings ago.

Mets Matt Harvey spotted at Yankee Stadium for Derek Jeters final home game

Remember that thread JCL started giving odds on the likelihood of each Met eventually signing with the MFY's? Well, I'd bet anything that Harvey's already been fitted for his MFY uniform. He probably poses in it in the privacy of his own home, and it's just a matter of time before Harvey absent-mindedly wears it out in public, or even to a Mets game.

Four rows behind the MFY dugout.

Yeah, we're on that in the previous page.

The problem is the headline. It's not like he was "spotted" like he was laying low. He advertised his presence on social media.

Considering the dog & pony show the Yanx had planned* to put on--Jeter pulled in the middle of the 9th, take laps around the field, all the past teammates meeting him at home plate ... hell, there could have been military fly-overs and phone calls from the President included for all I know--which probably would have delayed Baltimore's arrival in Toronto until about six minutes prior to game time this evening, maybe the way it did end was for the best for everyone, non-DJ fans included.

I'd like to think that it serves as a reminder that real sports is better than the manufactured and packaged-for-sale insta-nostalgia shit they've been peddling for the last six months - but I tend to doubt any lessons were learned. (speaking of which, what happened to the ball he hit? I'd like to think the Baltimore catcher kept it).
The only surprising part is that they didn't follow through with their plans after Robertson struck out Cruz for the 2nd out, but by then it was down to a one-run lead.

* as revealed by Girardi after the game

This is the only picture I've seen. Is he wearing a
Knicks hat?

Well, at least he has a smidgen of sense.

"Couldn't have scripted a better ending..." says MLB Facebook. Except a scriptwriter would have had this happen in the World Series, where the Yankees won't be going this year largely because they've been carrying the deadweight of a shortstop past his prime and his traveling circus all season.

It was a pretty dramatic ending. Should be in-
teresting what the Yank/Sawx fan ratio will be this
weekend Seems like everyone is saying they're going
to Fenway.
