Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Well, it's not as if they've been lacking for good young talent. It's just that the breakout seasons for those guys have been in Year 2 or 3 of late (or run concurrent with an even bigger rookie year, as with Puig/Jose Fernandez).
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted August 3, 2014 Posted August 3, 2014 Are there any strong rookies in the NL this year? Or do deGrom and perhaps, d'Arnaud, have a legitimate shot? I think d'Arnaud needs to get his batting average up above .250, which won't be easy at this point, to really get into the conversation. DeGrom's handicap is that the innings limit will likely prevent him from finishing the season.
