Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 (edited) LETS GO METS!OE: ooo, that was a bad one. Edited May 20, 2014 by Guest
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 UGH, what a pitch. Saws off Lucas. And of course, almost makes it to the OF.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Tricky bloop. That was well-played by Flash Junior.
Guest d'Kong76 Guests Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 I have a plan for the 8th! Load the bases, and getno runs!
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Four ABs with the base loaded: results = not one ball out of the infield.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 The other thing that's not helping is the station-to-station ball we've been playing. Have hit a bunch of singles w/runners on but haven't been able to go from 1st to 3rd on any of them on account of:- fairly weak singles most of the time- slow runners most of the time- we keep hitting them to Puig
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 20, 2014 Author Posted May 20, 2014 Meanwhilst, reports rolling out that Dodgers catcher Miguel Olvio, currently drawing his paycheck in Albuquerque, bit off a chunk of a teammate's ear during a game today.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 JHC!, Ive had enough of Centeno behind the plate. How the fuck do you not catch that?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 20, 2014 Author Posted May 20, 2014 Another gets by Centeno. He may need a hook.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Well, but who comes in for Centeno? You can't use Recker, because you want to save him, in case something happens to Centeno*.*It makes about as much sense as the you-can't-use-your-backup-catcher-to-pinch-hit trope.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 20, 2014 Author Posted May 20, 2014 Does any outstanding hitter look more like a cab driver than Adrian Gonzalez? All these awesome physical specimens and the guy I'm afraid of looks more like a building superintendent resigned to disappointment.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 I love baseball but this is some tedious shit. Throw a fucking pitch.

If d' is gonna be slow recovering from his bump on the head, which is worrisome to hear, we gotta be adjusting to these things on the fly. And Juan on leave had opened a spot? Do I understand that right? You're right tho, here. I'm just really down on Centeno.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Just his work behind the plate though. I'm okay with his slapdashary hitting.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 I hated Andy Van Slyke and I hate his son.

I have a feeling Van Slyke might know a little something about it.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 20, 2014 Author Posted May 20, 2014 Can o' corn. It's like Mark Trail out there. You know the villains by their beards.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Hey look, we've struggled this hard, we may as well go win this thing.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Obviously, not in that spot though.Valverde does his job. We've used 6 pitchers.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 20, 2014 Author Posted May 20, 2014 Oh, great, it's a beard festival and here comes Brian Wilson.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Ah, but that's where you're wrong, Z-- we're in it because Valverde didn't do what he usually does.Wilson's been kinda flammable this year, hasn't he? I remember seeing a few bumpy box score lines in the last couple of weeks.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 20, 2014 Author Posted May 20, 2014 Wilson looks terrible here. Let's do this.
