Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Elbow MCL, partial tear.I mean, it was obvious there was something.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Well, my thread obviously finished him off.Spirit of Frank Jobe, we call on you now.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Who comes to town?Giancarlo AlvaradoVic BlackBuddy CarlyleJoel CarrenoJacob deGromJosh EdginDana EvelandKyle FarnsworthErik GoeddelDaisuke MatsuzakaRafael MonteroRyan ReidMiguel SocolovichNoah SyndergaardLogan VerrettJeff WaltersI'm guessing that last dude.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 probably Black as he's on the 40 man and was there last year and was a late cut in Spring. You sorta hoped with the uptick yesterday that it was just slow rehab stuff. Or maybe it was and he tore it yesterday stepping it up.bleh, hopefully the plasma works and it's 4-6 weeks not the rest of the year.

How do they miss something like this?
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Have little CAHNfidence he or Niese will do much of anything this year.Fortunately for us Parnell is just a closer. I'm pretty sure we'd get between near the same save efficiency from any random dude under contract including Gonzalez Germen. Looks like they will recall Farnsworth but hopefully only until Vic "King of All" Black gets straightened out.I think Familia could close.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 I'd guess Walters, but the 40-man roster thing may cause them to pick someone else.

TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Closer by committee? I'd like to see what Familia can do...but wouldn't be opposed to giving Valverde a look too.
smg58 Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Personally I'd bring up Dice-K, followed by DeGrom. Black's spring performance screamed "not ready yet." We have plenty of depth in starters, and we should take advantage of that.I think it's obvious that Valverde will close until/unless he gives the Mets reasons to look elsewhere.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Dice-Kloser would be fun. Also, Jeff "Space Station #5" Walters
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Gotta be Valverde. Done it before, and was the only reliever who didn't poop his pants yesterday.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 If I'm the guy who does the Mets laundry, I would definitely prefer they go with someone who doesn't poop his pants.
smg58 Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Farnsworth gets the call up. I thought his spring performance screamed "Stick a fork in me, I'm done!" but I've been wrong before.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 But for his walking hobby, Dice-K-the-Closer is an intriguing idea-- many pitches, not-so-hard-tosser in contrast to the flamethrower-fastball-happy rest of the late-innings-corp?Farnsworth is definitely... um... a choice.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Was it Ron that made the remark about the velocity , he sounded like "wow, that is troubling".
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Was kinda expecting this from the moment I heard he wasn't "all the way back," but was coming up anyway.I'm just disappointed because I just taught YoungerPooper who he was. (She REALLY liked the beard.)
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Parnell officially on DL...Farnsworth called up..

Mex17 Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 http://www.rotoworld.com/player/mlb/1379/joel-hanrahanThe good news is that this is lining up almost perfectly with Joel Hanrahan being done with his own Tommy John rehab. So guess what had damn well better happen next?
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 Bring up Wilmer Flores, to replace Daniel Murphy, who's on paternity leave?

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 I think Zvon caught lice from Farnsworth.

Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Hopefully Wilmer gets a start out of this.
