Because tomorrow is another day. Another day without baseball.

But the day after that? Hey!

The lineup of the future, here today!

I'm excited to see some Flores action and i like the Satin-platoon idea. Platooning was popular in the pre-steroid era and looks to be making something of a comeback.

Chris Young appears to have reinjured his quad... I like this signing even less now...

Let's take the long view.

Colon was getting away with far too many loud outs early on to think that it wasn't going to come back and bite him sooner or later.

More gopher in this inning-- like FK said, even the outs are billowy-- than the Caddyshack denouement.

Watching Colon bunting was rather comical.

Colon served up a meatball there to give up the leadoff single. I'm surprised he's willing to share the meatballs with another person.

So did the new rules influence Tejada on that non play at the plate? and keith is correct, no wheels.

They shouldn't have. You're still allowed to hit the catcher if he's in the line and has the ball; you just can't go out of your way to hit him if he doesn't.

and keith is correct, no wheels.

Ruben does lack in the wheels department.

Looks like the Mets are already in mid-season Citi Field form, as far as actual fans in attendance are concerned. Which is to say, nobody's at the game.

Comically counterproductive and a big reason he's likely to be the losing pitcher tonight.

Yeah, game two has always been a huge gate draw.

Fans love cold weekday nights after the thrill of
opening day has worn off?

I've been to so many cold April and May cold night
games I have no interest in putting myself through
it any more. I'd happily be cold in Oct and early Nov
if need be with bells on.

I'd say that the odds are better than 50-50 that the Mets won't be drawing much better on a Wednesday night in August.
