Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 den Dekker: 3 ML ABs, still looking for his first fair ball (K, K, foul out)
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Recker making a day of it. Great diving catch on the foul pop.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Here's to CarTalk pitching his way into the picture going forward.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Phils heads call him "that guy Torres".Reckers pants look particularly tight today.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Nice. Mukky dukky Yukky and it's 6-0 Mets.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Tenth time in Murphy's career (and fourth this season) with four hits. He's never had five.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Ronnie calls Brown "the best high-ball hitter of the Mets' righthanders." That's a strange construction, but it's one I'd use to describe Laggy. He lubbs balls up by his letters.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Fair ball for den Dekker. #babysteps
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Are Edgy and Swannie baking competing birthday cakes to celebrate Recker's 30th birthday?
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 very fast baby steps as he steals second.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Ike invoking Jesus' name there for all to hear.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 I do enjoy it when an opposing team goes thru the kinda shit we usually have to go through. Phils crumbling.Ike, stop it. Questioning reality will be of no help to you.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 3-run triple. Sweet.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 A EYiple clears the bases. WooHoo!
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 The three-run triple: one of football's greatest injuries.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 "Who would have seen this coming?" on the Mets offensive outburst.Fuck you McCarthy.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Gary & Ron talking earlier about how few runs -- [u:2bubpcav]4[/u:2bubpcav]!! -- Turner has scored this season. So who's the only guy to get on base that inning and not score? .... Turner of course. He got HBP'd but was then forced by Dekker's grounder.den Dekker, who has one day in the majors and a .000 OBA, now has 1/4 of the runs scored in 2013 of Justin Turner.
Vic Sage Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 i know most folks like a nice tight game that puts you on the edge of your seat until the final out. I hate that. This is my ideal game... we score a bunch of runs early, and spend the rest of the game pulling further and further away, until it becomes a blowout. no muss, no fuss, no tension. I'm too old for tension. my doctor says it's bad for me.

Get that kid some at bats! Nah, I'm off that kick. But I do feel Red is undervalued. But thats the life of a utility guy.Hey Vic, could this end up being a close game? I'm with you today. I'd rather it didn't.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Hoping that gapper by Utley would give dD a chance to show his stuff. He didn't even get in the frame.
