Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 I'm glad the top of Murphy's glove is stickier tonight.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 lol. Scully don't crack me up like Keith. They should remake that Popeye movie and Mattingly should play Popeye.Satin will take it.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 So are we really gonna make Matt sweat it out with one run? Come-on Mets.

This might not be Harveys night. He looks tired early. Making good pitches to Gonzo though.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 This crowd is loud. Zac Efron must be making the rounds!
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Ha! Let him swing 3-0. Someone sucks over there.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Holy crap on that GiDP.I thought he'd throw a curve there, but he came after the guy.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Now that was Harvelous.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 I get that Puig is the bees' knees and all, but sitting 3-0 with Harvey all over the place, if I'm Donnie Doucheball, I want him taking a pitch or two there.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Yasiel with two on/one out was in prime spot to do some damage but opting to swing on 3-and-0 led him to run aground on his own personal ... .... Bay of Puigs.

You can't swing 3-0 there.

You can't swing 3-0 there.Yeah, but for all the hitting this guy has done so far he is far from a polished ballplayer. He missed a squeeze play the other day *as the runner!!* which, considering the sign to the runner is a verbal one from the 3rd base coach, it's quite a trick. He's also been known to, in a quote from his manager, "run until he's tagged out", and the next cut-off man he hits from the OF just might be his first.IOW, maybe the take sign WAS ON. Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 That said, Dude has excellent taste in goofy uniform numbers. And gah, another 1-3 putout. For fuck's sake, people-- we literally can't get it out of the infield.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Among major-league starting-hurlingfolk, Harvey has the fastest average velocity on a fastball, slider AND curve this year.Yeah, but do you want a fast curveball?
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Nick Fucking Punto. Again. And Uribe scores because of Young's handling there-- fumbling with it in the corner, then missing the cutoff by ten feet.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 There had to be a play at the plate there. There was plenty of time. Young screwed up there.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Now does anyone here think we are gonna score some more runs? *yawn
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Lets make this one of those early outs for Harvey. Save some innings.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Dang again. Midnight, down 4-1, I am three drinks in and that's it for me. Nighty night kids. Be sure to grope your loved ones at the completion of this contest.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 The sucky part about all this is that it's not like we're getting beat by Ramirez, Gonzalez, Ethier, and Crawford. It's by the likes of Ellis, Ellis, Uribe, and Punto.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Tied in the 11th, Pittsburgh played the 5 infielders shift when the Cards got runners on 1st & 3rd with one out -- and the Pirates turned the 6-9-3 DP and they're going to the 12th.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 I disagree. Lagaras bunting is bad there. A waste. And he basically bunts with a full swing chopper.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 This offense makes me I wish I were Both Eyes Blind.
