I'm still in shock over Buck. Wtf. What hes doin, esp since no one saw it coming, is just crazy.

The Mets mayn't have seen this coming, but I'll bet they saw his line-drive rate last year and considered him to be a good grab.

God bless these Twinkie fans. If this were YSIII, there'd be more ushers in the stands than patrons.

Not to mention that if this were YSIII there'd be about [crossout]seven[/crossout] Eight HRs to RF already tonight.

Updated to include latest half-inning.

Twins sideline correspondent also signs off her reports with "Guys?"

Nothing new under the sun. Or under the evening snowstorm, for that matter.

Burke looks like he's hurting himself on every pitch.

They always start with some chummy sounding word or combination of words. There must be an app for that.

That inning ended on the Twin broadcast with a shot of young couple as the female turned to the male and seemingly uttered, "Is that enough? Can we go now?"

Unfortunately, they cut to the commercial before he answered, "When Hell itself freezes over. We can go then."

Enthusiastic Twins' fan clearly shouting "Run it out!" on that groundout.

I don't know why, but I have this feeling/hope that Jordany is going to be a pleasant surprise for us.

Ike looks lost. Not just the 0 for 4, but looks terrible doing it. He's jumping, starting early. I'm starting to think that he will never be a legitimate #4 hitter.

Someone get Elias on the wire and see if the Mets have
ever scored 5 runs in the first and second innings.

Nope, it's never happened.

They scored 5 in the first and 4 in the second on July 14, 1995 (Mets 13, Rockies 4 at Shea) and on July 8, 2006 (Mets 17, Marlins 3, at Shea).

They scored 6 in the first and 4 in the second on September 29, 2000. (Mets 11, Expos 2, also at Shea.)

the 2006 was game 2 of a doubleheader. That must've been Pelfrey's debut right?
