Was that a sarcastic cheer on the first out? It takes a LOT to make Lutherans sarcastically cheer, I'd imagine.

Someone get Elias on the wire and see if the Mets have
ever scored 5 runs in the first and second innings.

lol. I'm still in shock over Buck. Wtf. What hes doin, esp since no one saw it coming, is just crazy. I'll be amazed if he can keep doing a fraction of what hes doing here at the start (and that would be okay and productive still). Gonna enjoy this feeling of surprise.

This game has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that the Mets are much better hitting when it's sub-35 degrees.
Now if only Fred & Jeff weren't so cheap they'd just turn up the AC at CF and we'd lead the league in everything.

Valde plays that into a flashy catch. I don't think he was hot doggin tho. Just ran a funny route.

Keith's still gushing about it in the next half-inning. When you've got Keith Fucking Hernandez saying something like, "That's as good a double play as you're ever going to see," you've made a play.

I'd forgotten how nice it can be to have three outfielders in your defensive outfield.

This park, it is yuuuge, is it not?

They can get one of those air-conditioned open air stadiums from Qatar.

Jose Reyes had to be carted off the field tonight during the Blue Jays game due to some kinda leg injury.

oe: lol. wrong team.

I'm reading nothing but bad stuff about Reyes. Sounds bad. Sliding into 2nd on a steal.

I sure love and respect Ron Gardenhose, but bringing a cold lefty into this game to face Buck, the way he's hitting, was throwing gasoline on the fire.

Minnie would be back in this game otherwise.

Just saw Reyes injury. It's bad. Broken ankle? Horrible late slide on a steal. I do feel bad.
