I don't think it's advisable to play for a tie when you only score one run per month.

How many lead-off runners were stranded? -- All of them.

Kind of getting tired of seeing the Mets' fill-in-the-blank updates on Facebook:

{Nice accomplishment by individual Met player} as Mets fall to {name of opposing team}.

An impressive Major League debut marred by lack of run support -

Great day for baseball at Citi Field. Would love to see some Met take one deep the way Fboy did on the kids' tee in right center.

He counts as a Met.

This is a thing of beauty. I will be sure Fboy sees it tomorrow.

Noticed plenty of good seats out there for the taking.

Two plays stood out -- the Baxter gaffe on the bases, and Valdespin badly misplaying that ball in center. From our vantage point, in the Promenade and behind the plate, we could tell right away that he was blowing it in real time.

Two things I saw in section 514 today that you don't normally see.

1. A woman (at left, in grey) carrying a 1987 era cell phone AND a man's wallet in her ample sized brassiere.

2. An obese man talking to a Mr. Met hand puppet during tense moments of the game, which then responded to him with hand puppet appropriate arm gesturing.

Wow, that's the sort of hard-core unemployable maniac attending on third-hand tickets that you ran into at Art Howe games.

I think the hand-puppet thing is actually kind of funny. Sure it carries with it the possibility of getting pretty creepy pretty quickly, but whatthehell.
The less said about the woman, however, the better.

I'm getting a creepy "Anthony Hopkins in the movie Magic" vibe from Met hand puppet guy.

Zvon's work on the picture of Fboy was fantastic. It deserves a prominent place on the Fman refrigerator.
