And inning 2 features 2 hits, a walk, a stolen base ... and, of course, no runs.

Technically only one hit, but yup, this is our team.

DJ LeMahieu, who spins the Reggaeton every Saturday at Club Colorado, is gunned down by Thole, who is clearly responding to the competition of Kelly Shoppach.

That's the kind of on-base machine we need in the leadoff slot.

Valdy caught stealing. Are we happy now?

Nice stroke Valde, nice hit. I don't care what he does today I don't like him at lead off. Watch him go 5-5 w/a walk and 5 stolen bases.

GAH! Okay, maybe only 4 stolen bases.

certainly not surprised. I don't think there's one thing I like about Valdespin's game.

Richmond, I think.

The real important topic, of course, is whether the black women watching and attending approve of her hair.

Holy hell, if CitiField's soda machine carbonation mechanisms go awry, they can just plug in Gabby Douglas and not lose a step; that is one bubbly little lady-- like Retton concentrate.

Not much to worry about. I mean, sheesh, t's hard enough to get the core demographic of fat white dudes out to Citi.

So you're saying that the black, female demo at CF consists of 'Nique and maybe a few others at most?

I'm crazy about ninth-inning pinch-hit homers.

Is that one of the 5-tools?

Mets squander a Baxter walk in this one, but clear pitcher.

And Tidewater roots. She's a Virginia Beacher.

Three leadoff baserunners-- and 8 total runners-- in four innings, two dumb basepath outs... and not one run?

This is your team.

If only Valdespin could get some help from the rest of these wankers....

McHugh, though? Looks fantastic.

Great-looking blog AND a nice tumbler... who'da thunk it?

Sure, but there's only so long we can depend on shut-outs from 1st timers.
Eventually we're going to have to score an actual run. Or maybe even two.
And then the pen will come in so we'll need four or five more.

FAIL!
Jeeze, at least keep it away from the pitcher Valdespunt.

Now that non bunt hit from Muffy was a perfectly placed....non bunt.

I knew the father of the Rockies pitcher, Ottavino. He was involved in the youth baseball league I coached in.
