Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 Bay still on the 7 day? figured they'd transferred him to the 15 by now. (it's been what, 13 days?)
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 Nice KTE, but that song only served to enrage me even more. The Dodgers played in Brooklyn. The name should have stayed here.I hat those motherfuckers ever since they moved to La-La Land. They don't deserve the name.Randy Newman wasn't always right.Later
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 Oh, that's the stuff. This series looks so winnable and losable, all at once.

(it's been what, 13 days?)I don't think they can. IIRC, the 7 day gets re-upped for another automatic 7 days if the player is not ready. Once you get past 14, then you automatically go on the 15 day DL.I could be mis-remembering, though.

ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 The Dodgers are down and depleted but they have..Dee Gordon..
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 New LAD ownership certainly isn't going into this thing lightly, although smartly is still yet to be determined. In addition to the whopping $2+ billion price tag, they confounded MLB insiders this week by signing Cuban defector Yasiel Puig to a $42 million/seven year contract.Puig, a 21 y/o corner OFer who hasn't played in over a year, has only been lightly seen by U.S. scouts and is rumored to be out of shape. He's considered a far lesser prospect compared to say Oakland pre-season signee Yoenis Cespedes who got a "mere" $30mil and this signing is causing some to throw around the word "crazy" to describe it.
