nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 E1 is not the way the Mets are going to miss the sweep, right???

Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 Boy, a lot of fatalistic loser talk in this thread already. Who here believes we can't score a few vs. this Cardinal bullpen?
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 Another run scored, but I like that Terry has stuck with Gee so far.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 (edited) Gee can't field. But he sure can pitch. Edited June 4, 2012 by Guest
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 This coulda been worse, you babies. Two big whiffs by Gee.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 I'm glad he got to clean up his own mess. Now we need 3 more runs and some scoreless frames by the bullpen.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 still a third of the game left for the Mets. 3+ runs? no sweat!

Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 God, it's been a while since we had a pitcher who used the up-and-in fastball effectively and consistently. I'm not sure anymore that Gee is the guy who surrenders his spot when one or more of the young'uns crash this pitching party.

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 I think a surfeit of talent is a problem that takes care of itself.Meanwhile, tying run at plate. His name be Duda.

Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 I'd just like to say that this year, Hairston is a fucking animal.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 Hairston has become Mr. Clutch with the bombs!
HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 Just back from a meeting. First base open, Quintinilla on deck, and Matheny let a lefty pitch to Hairston?
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 Time for the Jon Rauch late-inning cheap run.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 And now we know whose turn it is today to suck out of the pen.Actually, that turn seems to belong to whoever is being used that particular day.
