I know the pen is well-rested, but I'm sure I want to trust it with this lead tonight.

So does Kirk ride the pine when Bay comes back?
Kirk to right, Duda to first and Ike to get his head together in Buffalo?

Well, we're going to see the pen next inning for the first time since last Wednesday ... and last Wednesday the pen melted down big time.

Missed the Thole more than I thought I'd miss the Thole.

Well, that's what Bay was when Francona managed him.
Unfortunately that kind of play doesn't seem to appear for all managers named Terry.

Incorrect and false. Olerud specifically wanted to go to Seattle.

Kirk with an RBI. saying he'll make it hard as possible to make him ride the pine.

Torres says he's not gonna ride the pine when bay comes back, either. Nice triple!

Good questions.
We gotta give Bay a lil time to see if he can get himself goin, just cause he is paid to be our left fielder. If he can't then he sits, np by me. I prefer Kirk to Torres in center (& Torres just smacks a triple, lol).

Ikes problems could work into this scenario, and maybe to the teams benefit. But bottom line is we need Ike doing what we know he can do.

I'm enjoying this game so much, I haven't muted it.

Doofy celebration injuries aside... just a great, great weekend.

Actually, my recollection was that it was because of his young daughter's serious medical condition.

By the time the daughter was born he was already in Seattle.
Mainly his stated reason for the decision was just about being near the family.

No way our pen can give this game back...right?

Okay, lets try and relax.

Oly preferred Seattle for sure, but left the door open, even if slightly. So why did the Mets offer him less money than Seattle had already offered him? They didn't even try.

Re the ESPN Bay talk -- is anyone here clamoring for Bay's return?

Not I. Not the Bay we have had in Queens.
