Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 Nice toss from Torres, tag from Thole to nail that runner at the plate!
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 Torres/Thole keeping the triple shut-out streak going.

metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 STFU Francona " boy if the Mets get Bay back and he produces like we know he can, wow, boy, talking about a leader in the middle of the order, one of the great guys in the game yyybbb"
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 I know the pen is well-rested, but I'm sure I want to trust it with this lead tonight.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 Well, we're going to see the pen next inning for the first time since last Wednesday ... and last Wednesday the pen melted down big time.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 Missed the Thole more than I thought I'd miss the Thole.

metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 Yep, sounded like Francona was oblivious to the Bay we have seen.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 What reliever is it you want to see? .... FREEMAN

Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 Torres says he's not gonna ride the pine when bay comes back, either. Nice triple!
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 Torres with a triple......great game to watch...
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 1-out RBI hits ... what a concept!!

If he can't then he sits, np by me. I prefer Kirk to Torres in center (& Torres just smacks a triple, lol). Ikes problems could work into this scenario, and maybe to the teams benefit. But bottom line is we need Ike doing what we know he can do.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 I'm enjoying this game so much, I haven't muted it.Doofy celebration injuries aside... just a great, great weekend.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 Hey Parnell, y'know what's NOT a good idea? - Leadoff walks, that's what!
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 6-0No way our pen can give this game back...right?Right?Okay, lets try and relax.

So why did the Mets offer him less money than Seattle had already offered him? They didn't even try.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 1976 was the last time the Mets had 3 shutouts in a row? Wow.
