Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 I'm glad it didn't get to that. Nationals lost, so we are all alone in 1st. Also, Philadelphia lost, Mfys lost. What a weekend.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 Other years in which Mets started 3-0 and MFYs started 0-3: 1973, 1985.Pretty good years those.
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 Did Baxter get used today? Wondering why TC left Duda out to roam right in the 9th w/ a 2-run lead? Seemed a pretty risky play given the events of the day and all.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 For those who go...Do the fans still do Lets Go Mets! or did that stop at Shea?
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 You still hear the Let's Go Mets chant from time to time.

The mic is Citi Field though, but I think that's digitally edited. You'll notice the plain white background, because I'm pretty sure that used to be Shea. Anyway, crowd was fairly lively without scoreboard prompting on Opening Day. They don't have Spring Training where games matter for fans to practice though. Give us a couple of days.

I was impressed that all of sudden all these people sitting in our section followed the lead of a 3-year old.

Hopefully I'll be able to bring it out again this season.(It would be even better if I could find some blue & orange Legos to build a Mets' street sweeper and put a Mets' cap on the driver. I'll have to do some Lego shopping).
