seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 My trip to Chicago this year falls at the All-Star Break; was hoping to hit a game, but I guess not.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Stony Brook IN THE HOUSE tonight. Doing the pregame routine, plus Coach Senk is throwing out the first pitch.MAYBE YOU SHOULD HAVE DRAFTED SOME OF THESE FRICKIN' GUYS, METS.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 Kicking the tires on Friday August 10th, Braves @ Mets, Fboy's first night game. Anyone else planning on that one? Fwife gave me a two ticket voucher for a Friday night game as a Father's Day gift and this one best fits my schedule.

Not impossible, but for now I can't commit to it.But let me know if you want to be there August 8th instead - we'll be at that one for MK's birthday.Meanwhile, D-Dad and I will be at Fireworks Night next Tuesday.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 Locked in, two upper deck seats for Fboy and I for Friday 8/10 vs. Atlanta. Fboy's first MLB night game.

It was very cute as he went from being all pumped up and talking 100 mph to immediately falling asleep on the bus ride home.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted June 29, 2012 Author Posted June 29, 2012 Fireworks AND you can get this shirt? Tuesday!

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 I should totally get that shirt. I can wear it to work the next time they have a "Phillies Spirit Day". (And yes, they do that.)
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted June 29, 2012 Author Posted June 29, 2012 really sucks that it's sold out. booo being sold out. it's wrong to mug a random Mets fan on Tuesday right?

We'll be in your hood at least one day to explore and catch a show.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 I am a dipshit. Bought tickets mistakenly for Saturday August 11th instead of Friday August 10th. Will have to call the Mets ticket office tomorrow to see if they will swap these seats out.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Ugh. The Mets ticket office stinks. Besides the fact that they could just void my tickets and put them back into the system, they have a "no refunds or exchanges" policy in all games that are not rainouts. The guy delivering this news did it in super-douchy fashion, to boot.So I have 2 seats to sell for the Saturday August 11th 7 PM Mets/Braves tilt, section 509. I paid $92 including fees but will sell the pair for face value, $80, to anyone here that is interested. PM me if so. I will be buying tickets for the Friday 8/10 game instead.
HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 Looks like I'll be going on Sunday with soon-to-be-teen-girl Solo. I believe we have Caesar's Gold seats, though I don't have the physical tix in my hands just yet to know exactly where. Those going for the Mr. Met Dash, enjoy. We did it a few years back and the kids loved it.

seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 Very solid chance that I will find myself at Whatever Nationals Stadium is called on Tuesday night.

Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted July 16, 2012 Author Posted July 16, 2012 Be there Friday for Daughtry! woo Daughtry! (what do they sing again?) and next Monday for Star Wars Stand Up to Cancer night. free t-shirt, collectible truck (which the wife is already grumbling about taking up space in the apartment) and seats in the Big Apple section, where I've never sat before.hmm, you music people.. Would my enjoyment of a concert be bolstered by downloading/listening to any of these songs before hand, or going in cold?
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 I'd suggest you download some earplugs.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 I spent about 1/3 of last weekend's game spitballing back and forth with my cousin and her husband about what kind of person is a fan of Daughtry. Not smirkily, either-- I just can't picture what the hell the market is. Is it the wife of the guy who's really into Nickelback? Is it that guy's husky stepdaughter? Her awkward-but-chipper boyfriend, who likes occasional light-rocking? Does anyone here know a Daughtry fan?
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Folks who make sure to catch Vin Diesel movies on opening night?People for whom the muscular crunch of high school football was everything?People who don't rock, are kind of threatened by rock, but need something that rocks on their aerobics playlist?Massively uncool chicks on the make for recently divorced guys? And just to be clear, I'm getting conflicting reports on whether this will be Daughtry the dude performiing or Daughtry the band. They're different entities, right?
