I didn't like tonight's Los Mets tops. Blue is good but too much of a good thing isn't. Those all blue pajama tops are too garish for my tastes.

Maybe at third, if he holds off Daniel Descalso from the Cardinals. Too many other 1B (Trumbo, Freeman)/2B (Barney, Espinosa) types out there.

I was profoundly upset with how the 8th inning was handled by the Mets. It was abundantly clear that Hairston should have hit for Pagan when there were two on and one out, a lefty on the mound and nobody up in the Braves bullpen. It was managerial malpractice for Collins to let Pagan hit rather than using Hairston there. THAT is the time when you use your best pinch hitter. Waiting until you are down three, with two outs in the bottom of the 9th and nobody on is stupid.

bmfc already made my other point: Pagan and Bay both swinging at the first pitch -- after Venters CLEARLY showed he was wild -- was idiotic.
I would bench both of them for tomorrow's game.
