He's replaceable with a cheaper player for the Mets, attractive to a team that's a starter short, and his salary going forward would be a nice contribution to the Reyes Fund.I've been saying all along that a package of Pelfrey/Beltran/Fodriguez would be REEEEALLY interesting to the Yankees.
metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 but what would you expect to come home with?

seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 One of the catchers (Romine/Montero), one of the young pitchers (the young lefty whose name I can't remember), and probably a salary dump of some kind. Granderson, maybe? (They'd probably want to dump Burnett on us, which I wouldn't be entirely against.)

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 Could it be something about Ike's work ethic during rehab? I'd be surprised if that were the case, but who knows?

Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 12:16 Andy McCullough: Neither. Wednesday June 22, 2011 12:16 Andy McCullough 12:16 [Comment From NedN NedN : ] I heard today that Collins is considering moving Bay up the lineup. Is that the right thing to do put pressure on him immediately after he hit 1 home run (or even that he went 3 for 3) right away for someone that was "bummed out" just two days ago? Wednesday June 22, 2011 12:16 NedN 12:17 Andy McCullough: Might as well move him up. Bay is a big boy. He's not struggling because of mental trouble. He's struggling because he's a streaky hitter, he's in a bad spot, he feels uncomfortable at the plate, and this lineup doesn't provide much protection. Wednesday June 22, 2011 12:17 Andy McCullough 12:17 [Comment From Scribernetics Scribernetics : ] Didja see the "Game of Thrones" finale? Wednesday June 22, 2011 12:17 Scribernetics 12:17 Andy McCullough: I don't play video games, buddy. Did he just copy and paste the Bay question from last chat? I mean..i wouldn't describe him as being in a 'bad spot' right this moment. Good job having no idea what game of thrones is though. Even if 'see' and 'finale' should've tipped him off. a lot of mailed in 'what's for lunch' questions. (a followup on a question if anyone had asked him what's for lunch yet)
