Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 Okay, this is a little funny.Dressed in a white warm-up suit, David Lennon of Newsday explains, he hopped out of the passenger side of a white Ford Expedition, walked up to the clubhouse door and pulled on the handle. It was locked.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted February 14, 2011 Author Posted February 14, 2011 I'm intrigued by the white warmup suit.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 There have to be matching accessories. But what kind?
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 My expectations for Perez are minimal. I will be pleasantly surprised if he can become a contributing member of the Mets in 2011. Any useful innings that the team can get out of him are a bonus in my mind.

I don't get there with many people. I'm rather surprised to find out that I did get there with Terry.

Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 Does Collins remind anyone else of a more-benevolent (so far) Hank's dad from King of the Hill?

batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 (edited) Some quick notes from the Mets' 5-4 win today over Atlanta:Chris Young looked good.Oliver Perez did not....After a decent first inning -- one run allowed on a hard-hit double and a well-placed singled -- Perez unraveled in his second inning. He walked three consecutive batters to load the bases and plate a run. Then he gave up a two-run single to a minor-leaguer named Shawn Bowman. A base-running error ended the inning and saved Perez. http://www.nj.com/mets/index.ssf/2011/02/oliver_perez_allows_four_runs.htmlExpectations for the margarita machine have sunken so low that he's considered to have had a decent inning when he gives up a run on two hits.
