Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 Was with the Braves for a while, they used him in non-save situations.

A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 He wears high numbers (48, 54, 55, 56, and 78) and his #6 most similar pitcher is Fernando Nieve (978) and #10 is Ambiorix Burgos (975) http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/b/boyerbl01.shtmlHe's the bro on the left & i think he thinks bowhunting is totally fuckin rad:
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted January 21, 2011 Author Posted January 21, 2011 I bet they are reading an article about how the hunters totally outwitted the dear they were hunthing.

A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 He reminds me of Jeremy Griffiths.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 He looks like Mark McGwire.

Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 Blaine Boyer was my favorite of all the "Facts of Life" girls, until her ass got too big.Wait, what?
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted January 22, 2011 Posted January 22, 2011 Mets have a goal of acquiring every BB to ever play baseball. They're hoping Tim Teufel does his part and sends them a little Blaine Boyer and Boof Bonser for a few weeks this summer.

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 This guy out of Terry Collins' office yet?
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2011 Author Posted March 28, 2011 Not sure if this tweet from Rubin 2 hours ago sheds any light on what's going on or adds confusion" Blaine Boyer met in Terry Collins' office with the manager and remains unclear his status. He has a Thursday out"
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 That has to be the world's longest game of "how many fingers am I holding up behind my back."
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 "Blaine Boyer. Truly a sight to behold. A man beaten. The once great champ, now, a study in moppishness. No longer the victory hungry stallion we've raced so many times before, but a pathetic, washed up, aged ex-champion. "
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2011 Author Posted March 28, 2011 Disturbing images out of PSL show Blaine Boyer noted hunting enthusiast setting up "his spot" outside the Mets complex.......apparently he's scoping out the managers office

smg58 Old-Timey Member Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Another difficult situation. Boyer has been a bit better than Acosta this spring, but Acosta has really only had one bad outing and has a superior track record. Both are probably better than Pedro Beato right now, but Beato has the upside and is a Rule V pick. Boyer also might be (and Acosta most likely is) better than D. J. Carrasco, but Carrasco has a two-year commitment. The good news is that it's been a seller's market for relievers, so the Mets should be able to get more than the $25,000 waiver claim fee if/when they part ways with somebody.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Carrasco is set up to be their long reliever/spot starter.
