Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Who would you like to see win?
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2010 Author Posted October 3, 2010 I'm kinda torn on this one. I'd like to see the Rangers advance, but since the real important task is stopping the Yankees, I want the Rays to survive. So I'm voting Tampa.
Guest sharpie Guests Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Rays. The team is about to cut salary so this'll probably be the last go-round for this group.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Tough one because Francoeur is on Texas. I'm serious! But I'll go with Tampa because with that staff, they have a better chance of beating the MFYs if they meet.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Very tough for me, but I'm going with the Rangers considering that they've never been to the World Series.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 GO Texas!in honor of Frenchy and Nolan RyanI'd much rather see the Yanks vs the Phils in the WS.Not Tampa Bay, or even the Rangers for that matter.Ive already seen a Phils/Rays series and if it came to a Texas/Philly WS there's the fact that the Rangers have never won one, so I can appriciate that if an N.L. team can't take the trophy.Perfect personal sceanario?Phils vs the Yanks and they are all great and exciting games, Philly taking it in a fantastic extra inning seventh game.

Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Sorry Z, I don't feel like living through my personal hell for a second straight year.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 I went Rangers because the Rays griping that their fans don't support them and the Rays fans not supporting them both turned me off. And maybe Cliff Lee will be death on the MFYs again.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 I want to see Josh Hamilton mash his way to the WS.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 I voted for the Rays because I like them better as a team, but I think the Rangers getting a chance at a first pennant and first World Series would be interesting too. Also, I kind of like the idea of a Twins-Rangers ALCS and wonder if there's anyone left in Washington who would find that tortuous.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 The Rays if only to show the MFYs it mattered.Joe Girardi: "We're not in it to win a division, we're here to win a World Series" Suck it, Joe.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Rays, bayyybeeeee. That's a tribute to Rays fan Dick Vitale.http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/blog/big_league_stew/post/Dick-Vitale-says-his-Rays-are-a-Cinderella-like?urn=mlb-109574I want to see Bud Selig interviewed in a half empty stadium during the World Series opener.Later

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 Perfect scenario is the Yankees are all arrested in a steroid sting. Jeter is, of course, the ringleader. He's also implicated in gun-running, human trafficking... narco-terrorism --- the whole shebang.
