ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 I expected the next Mets I.G.T to be done with Bobby V at the helm.

Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 I'll be watching the Jets today. It is what it is.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 No Jason Bay, huh.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2010 Author Posted October 3, 2010 Lets put a stop to this..Livan Hernandez is NOT going to throw a no-hitter.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Ike Davis says, OK. Now let's work on that shutout.Mets are doing the closing-day thing of chasing shit off the plate.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Iko, Iko, how big hurry are you in to get home?
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 One run home but a double-play ends the inning. You don't see a 3-5-4 every day.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Nyjer Morgan really needs to go to Fundies Camp.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Jerry takes Wright and Reyes out of the game at the top of the 9th so they can get an ovation from the crowd. It's like he had to perform one final act of stupidity before leaving us. I'm glad they could be recognized by the crowd but it's a TIE GAME. We do still want to win, right?
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Right. Marlins won so the best the Mets can get is tied for 3d.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Did Riggleman really think Tejada was such a threat that he couldn't leave in his Lefty? It's like a manager dumb-a-thon out there.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 We're taking a poll as to which batter Green hits.I'll take the 3rd guy he faces.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 The season that just won't end !!
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Last time the last game of the season went to extras was 1999, although there were also 13 innings in the regular season finale in 2000.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Perez warming up for the 14th inning. I see we still have Feliciano, Dessens and Niese available in the 'pen.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Ollie will put a quick end to this game.
Theoldmole Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Will Ollie end his Met career with one last loss?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 TheOldMole wrote:Will Ollie end his Met career with one last loss?Nah, he's usually pretty good on 62 days rest.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Wayne and Howie went on a long riff earlier this game about how Jerry never disrespected the Mets fans or the position of manager. The choice of Perez here (with other men still left in the 'pen) directly contradicts that.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Bases-loaded walk, and Ollie is done.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 And the thousand fans in the park sound like 20 times that as they boo Oliver off the mound.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 If Misch was available to pitch, why the hell did Jerry use Perez?
metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 well. a little blood for the fans i see. they do care!
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Just surreal, I went over to it as it was nearing extras andfigured I'd squeeze another inning out of it.I don't want to misquote Gary, but he had a great line along thelines of something like it's like a demented soap opera and I wasthinking it would make a great sig line but didn't jot it down.
Zach Thornton Syracuse Mets - AAA LHP On Sunday, the southpaw tossed five shutout innings as the bulk pitcher. He gave up 2 hits, walked 2 and had 5 strikeouts. Explore Zach Thornton News >
