If they call it, I hope they make the call early so I don't have to make a trip to the City for nothing....

I think they do. I wouldn't be at all surprised by a day-night doubleheader on Wednesday or Thursday. If they cancel it, I think they'd have more of an obligation to refund tickets, wouldn't they?

Also, they usually don't let games go unplayed if there's still a chance to make them up, even if they're meaningless. If Thursday's game were to be rained out, that would be the end of it; they wouldn't make the Brewers return to Queens on Monday.

It has been 526 days -- 75 weeks and 1 day -- since the Brewers last visited the Mets. They were the second opponent at Citi Field in 2009 and they're the second-to-last opponent at Citi Field in 2010. Discounting seasons affected by strikes (and maybe even counting them since there were fewer teams and no interleague in 1994-95) this has to be the longest period that's ever transpired between visits to New York by a league opponent.

They deserve to be swept for this.

Seriously, I hate the Brewers as much as any team. They should go back to the American League.

The brewers have actually grown on my a bit.

I think Cubs-Brewers-Reds-Pirates-Astros-Cardinals if I had to pick an order.

Scores? Doesn't sound like the Mets' kind of club.

Wow. When was the last single-admission double header? (I know, you're going to tell me "last week, pigface.")

Despite their best efforts to avoid scheduling them since becoming (or fancying themselves as) popular, even in makeup situations, the Mets have had traditional doubleheaders in 2006 (vs. Giants in June, vs Marlins in July, vs. Braves in September) and 2008 (vs. Rangers in June, vs. Braves in September again) along with the aforementioned Dodger doubledip in April. They didn't join the Day-Night crowd until 2007 (Nats in July), and have had a few of those since at both Shea and Citi.

Last regularly scheduled doubleheader at Shea (from previous semi-comprehensive research -- scouring schedules in yearbooks) was 1988.

And I have tickets for Wednesday! Bonus baseball...if I can get out of work a little early.
