G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 OMG, it's a potential winning streak!

Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Maybe he wants to get sent home early, with pay.I mean, why not?
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Hamels can be pretty rough on the lefties, and it's not like Davis hasn't been a cluprit in the disappearance of the offense. Plus, I'm guaranteeing at least one Hessman HR tonight.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Yes on the L/L thing, but at some point, if Davis is going to be a major league hitter, he needs to face lefties and get hits. You can't hide him forever.Let him go out there and strike out four times; maybe he learns something for the next time he faces Hamels. The rest of the lineup isn't surprising, though.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 At the risk of my money-back HR guarantee?
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 He can pinch hit if he wants.

G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Mike Hessman would like to leave the list of 69 Mets who have homered once and only once as Mets.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Ho many of the other 68 are currently on the Mets? One immediately comes to mind: Johan Santana.

Guest themetfairy Guests Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 A scoreless first inning for R.A. Yay!
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Hey! Whaddaya know-- you can run on this guy Schneider!
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 All for naught, however, as AnHell-- due to caution? Lactic acid buildup?-- can't score on Mr. Rye's hot shot to Polanco.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 I hope for his wife's sake that Sweeney does some intensive pregame groin stretches.Blanco gives it a ride, but... fucking Hawaiian.

(maybe just in the field, haven't been watching Phil games recently, but every time I looked he was doing somthing good)GGGGRRRrrrrrrr.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Howie confessed he doesn't know from all the different food stands at Citi Field and then noted he just saw two of the biggest ribs he's ever seen in his life. Somebody should take Howie to Blue Smoke, if just so he knows his surroundings. He also, the other day, complimented Joe Posnanski's article on Stan Musial in Sports Illustrated but had trouble spitting out the name Joe Posnanski as if it was the first time he'd heard of him. JP not the most famous of scribes, perhaps, but well known to those who read about baseball online.Howie Rose: a great Met voice but perhaps a little set in his ways.
