Bucket has disappeared?

Terrible call, K-Rod should beat the crap outta those old guys[/quote:12owce69]

Just because he's suspended from playing doesn't man his core competencies can't be put to good use. Give him his salary for a good cause. And let Ollie hold down that fan while K-Rod mans up.

I thought that the replay was inconclusive, and based on the SNY feed, I have no idea whether that should've been a homer. Gary Cohen believes that Hessman's shot had to have been a homer because the fan's arms aren't long enough to reach below the orange line that demarcates a HR. I disagree with Gary's analysis. The issue is whether the ball would've landed above the orange line had it not been deflected by the fan. It's theoretically possible to interfere with the flight of the ball while the ball is above the HR line. I couldn't tell whether or not the fan touched the ball and couldn't judge the trajectory of the batted ball either. So I don't know.[/quote:20f13ac2]

The umps are required to have conclusive evidence to overturn an on-field call. That wasn't conclusive.

Doesn't David get sent back to first on that?

I totally agree and can't wait to hear their explanation. But maybe they had better angles.

Quick! Review Beltran's double and call it an out, you overpaid fuckhead umpire assholes!

(Never has the building of one run given me less satisfaction.)

Luckily, David scores on Beltran's non-homer!

They had the same angles we did.

And suck on THAT, Phils.

"Hamels is supposed to throw pitches on or around the plate. We'll be keeping an eye on him to make sure he does that."

The angle I saw from the Phils feed pretty much had it on a trajectory to either hit the orange line, or right above it.
Not below, I don't think, but of course I'm looking at this thru blue and orange tinted glasses.

If pressed to testify I'd have to say it would have hit the line.

Philheads say Hess should have only been awarded a double because "he runs like a mule."

Phillies broadcasts are like watching Springfield through the lens of Shelbyville.

Blame:

Tweet from SurfingTheMets:Turn on your TV, because Dickey is 12 outs from a no-hitter. The Mets have never had a no-hitter but maybe they'll have a no-hitter tonight.

Tweet from AdamRubinESPN: R.A. Dickey 12 outs from first no-hitter in Mets history.

Ugh Tejeda.
The uniform looks like pajamas on him.
After that at bat I have this urge to send him to bed without dinner.
