G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Bucket has disappeared?Terrible call, K-Rod should beat the crap outta those old guys[/quote:12owce69]Just because he's suspended from playing doesn't man his core competencies can't be put to good use. Give him his salary for a good cause. And let Ollie hold down that fan while K-Rod mans up.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 I thought that the replay was inconclusive, and based on the SNY feed, I have no idea whether that should've been a homer. Gary Cohen believes that Hessman's shot had to have been a homer because the fan's arms aren't long enough to reach below the orange line that demarcates a HR. I disagree with Gary's analysis. The issue is whether the ball would've landed above the orange line had it not been deflected by the fan. It's theoretically possible to interfere with the flight of the ball while the ball is above the HR line. I couldn't tell whether or not the fan touched the ball and couldn't judge the trajectory of the batted ball either. So I don't know.[/quote:20f13ac2]The umps are required to have conclusive evidence to overturn an on-field call. That wasn't conclusive.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Victorino must have deked Wright 'cause he should have been on third.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Doesn't David get sent back to first on that?

G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Quick! Review Beltran's double and call it an out, you overpaid fuckhead umpire assholes!(Never has the building of one run given me less satisfaction.)

G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Tejada has a Doug Saunders thing going for -- and against -- him so far.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Cole Hamels thus far is to R.A. Dickey what John Curtis was to Jon Matlack.
