K-rod in a holding cell at Citi Field.[/quote:2qnb4hp1]

Gives new meaning to "going to the pen."[/quote:2qnb4hp1]
I'm running on the field just so I can meet K-Rod in the pokey.

Nice 400-foot Ian Stewart flyout at CitiField.

I think I once saw Stewart at Shea playing with the Stones.

Johan's under 70 pitches through seven innings. They'd need a crow bar to pry him out of the game today.

arraignment at 2:15[/quote:1p1drug9]

Burkhardt should be there to cover it live. "Guys, here comes K-rod with a trench coat over his wrists."

Posted

Yeah , as far as Burkhardt knows and he has not been told differently Rodriguez in still in the holding cell.

Posted

Got it. In that case, sounds like the police did him a favor by keeping him in the (private) holding cell rather than anywhere else.

If they play "Enter Sandman" as KRod enters the courtroom, Francesa's gonna have a fit. That's Mariano's entrance music, dammit!

I hope Rodriguez is still there when I take the Shea tour.

Crazy about Johan batting in the seventh. Learn, Jerry, learn!

And the non-bunting leads to a tack-on rally.

Learn, Jerry, learn....

Learn, Jerry, learn....

Darling just called Santana "the best athlete on the field," which goes counter to "pitchers aren't athletes!"

For other teams these are insurance runs. For the Mets these are bail bond runs.

Darling was among the best athletes on the 86ers.

A commitment to the starting pitcher, letting him swing away, a two-run tack-on rally, Reyes driving them nuts on the basepaths, and even a walk. Wouldn't it be great if these were the real Mets that showed up this inning?

Posted

We can dream. Santana over 100 pitches now. How long until Jerry pulls him?

Hey how about this, why don't we try Santana as the 8th inning guy today?

I was wrong about the pitch count before. He's at 109 right now.

110 pitches.

Absoultely have to stick with Johnny St. Anne.

Complete game shutout

Complete game shutout

Complete game shutout . . .

Jerry . . . are you listening???

If K-Chap comes out of hiding, Jerry has to listen.

Another difference between the Mets and the Yankees...Yanks would already have Chico's Bail Bonds sponsoring the 9th inning or something.

Let's hear it for giving Beltran a day off.

Do you let Hessman face the righty here?

What's more important --- trying to get a platoon edge to chase run number five or giving Hess one more chance to show his quality?

I let him swing.

Yankee players are already outfitted in black and white stripes.

Beltran's kicking some major butt.

And Greg's a bad ass for even suggesting Ollie see this game from anywhere other that the pen -- or the holding cell with KRod. Stealing $37 million is a crime, no?
