Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Dammit Frenchy.Going back to that last inning...knowing that Castillo was up next, why was Jose working so hard to pull out that walk? I'd rather have him try to drive in the run than give Castillo that chance.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Cool. LaRussa's burned his bench. Is Bay even in the house for the Mets?
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Pulling Takahashi after one? Good to have you back, Jer.But on a lighter note, here are some Photoshops of the Pope-in-a-ballcap photo!

Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Jose gets on!Now Luis can prove me wrong.

ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 I guess this can't go on til 2:30 a.m. can it?

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Now we need one good one out of Parnell cuz we're winning this next inning if we get it.Someone just needs to tell Tony that he's losing this game anyway so he may as well stop stalling so he can get his nap before tomorrow's early start. And Tony, not behind the wheel of the car this time, huh!
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 I love Ronnie, but I get a kick when announcers claim that something "never happens" and then it happens.Miller: /throws over twiceRonnie: "Well, a guy never throws over three times in a row, so Reyes has to go on first movement here."Miller: /throws over again
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Walking guys in front of Albert isn't part of the plan
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 What a great throw by Molina. With the jump Jose got I didn't think Molina had a chance of getting him, but his throw was perfect.I like the aggression though. Odds of Castillo driving Reyes in from first were very slim. The Mets essentially were going to need back to back 2 out hits to get Reyes in so it was worth taking a chance on getting to second where a Castillo single could potentially score him. Tip your hat to the opposition for a great defensive play. Now the Mets will have Castillo leading off next inning in front of the meat of the order.
