Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 The legendary turnaround continues tonight!Jaime Garcia for the bad guys vs. Johan Santana for our heroes.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Of the series this is the game I expected to be a sure win.Last night, a sure loss...So, of course, now I'm worried.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 I believe that Johan rolled out of bed this morning and thought, "If Matt Freaking Garza can toss a no-no, then so can I."Plus, he knows Jerry is less likely to pull him out in the ninth and insert Frankie if he's throwing a no-no. Of course, he'd really like to have a no-no and a 4-0 lead so it's not a save situation, just to be sure.

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Irish indeed. I can pretend to know the word for lineup, though.
Guest Vince Coleman Firecracker Guests Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 I took Irish in college. I don't remember much, except that our textbook used the phrase "madra crann" for squirrel, which means "tree dog." Google Translate disagrees with this, though.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Johan looks decidedly human tonight .
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 How about getting someone out, Santana.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Going 3-2 on the opposing pitcher is totally unacceptable. Throw a freaking strike!
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 WOW....it's all gone pear shaped on the mound and the field.5-0

metirish Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 WOW.....ah , I guess we won't get that 2 wins in a row thingy going tonight
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 (edited) 6-sniffle in the first! Should they go for two or kick the extra point? Edited July 28, 2010 by Guest
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Hasn't had a swing-and-miss pitch yet.

Guest Kong76 Guests Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 They blocked the extra point! Special teams are key.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 And, unlike last night, these StL hits weren't a bunch of cheapies (a couple were but not exclusively).
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Gonna have to get some back right now.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 One more hit and we're right back in the game. Let's go Jeff.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 If the left field wall was human sized would that have been a granny?
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2010 Posted July 28, 2010 Johan: "Not going to score me any runs tonight, fellas? Then eff you, I give up six. Teach you a lesson."
