Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 Thank goodness we allowed this high-maintenance Diva to spoil Dickey's bid for a complete game so that he'd be "effective" in actual save situations.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 Gamecast says "injury delay" right in the middle of the Cuddayer at-bat. What happened?[/quote:1tc3l8i2]They should be a little more specific in their reporting. There is enough suspense in the world these days.2 out, one to go.

Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 Tigers fans are appreciative of our efforts tonight. They can return the favor with another two runs!
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 Ruben Tejada: not much of an English interview at this stage in his career.Jackson gets his no-hitter. 150 pitches.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 Thanks be to friggin' Jehovah.I really need to stop listening to ninth innings.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 In fairness to Frankie, the hits were a broken bat bloop and a six-hop IF single. But, yeah, I didn't like the Dickey relief job the other day either.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 Mets now 23-6 in their last 29 home games. That's just silly.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 Both hits were also on two-strike counts. And the Dickey relief appearance was by Frankie request. Which, y'know, makes me love him all the more.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 Everyone needs a Dickey relief job now and again.

Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 Lots of Twins fans, including several with their "Circle Me Bert" signs. I waffle on this between the "cool" and "stupid."Good game and when Mauer goes 0-4, it's a good sign towards a Mets victory over the Twins -- which I had never seen before! 2 of the 3 previous tilts I had the (mis)fortune of seeing some guy named Santana beat the Mets.Love the win, hate the bunts.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 What a godsend Interleague play must be for A.L. expatriate fans living in New York. They get to see their favorite team in relative peace.
